American Legion Post 435.
Man, I love this building. It’s a little rundown and could use a refresh, Do they allow smoking inside American Legions? I know they did or years at VFW halls. I’ve never been inside this one, but I bet they throw a mean BINGO! game.
Window shopping.
I saw this dude eyeballing the seafood case at the grocery store. I want to hang out with this guy for dinner. He stood there a while like he was waiting for a signal as to what piece of fish to buy.
Heights Theater.
I posted a few from the Heights Theater last week but had to do another to show how cool the space is. I’d go see any movie just to watch the organ player warm-up the crowd before the show starts. My buddy Barry rented the place out for a night and invited his friends to watch ‘Stop Making Sense’…it was a very cool night.
Miller’s Bar.
Stopped in after a busy week to grab a burger and a beer. Love this place. It’s the right amount of dive bar, but the people are cool and the burgers are great and they had live music...a dude playing a pedal steel guitar. Don’t see that often.
Old cars and old dudes.
With all the cars I draw, you’d think I was a car guy. I’m not…but I do like looking at old cars. I also draw a lot of old dudes, and I like old dudes…I plan to be one someday.
It’s been a long convertible season and this guy was juicin’ it for all it was worth.
There’s just something about an old car that is so cool...the history, the design...the fact that they are 1000% cooler than anything new.
I drive by this covered car often and wonder what it could be. I’m thinking something Mopar from late 60’s. Maybe they should have a contest and whoever guesses what it is gets to drive it.
Old dude artist.
I was sitting outside at the coffeeshop and saw this dude walking by with pride and purpose in his step, caring an art print to show someone. Retire and make art...that’s about as good as life gets.
The dream.
I often see this oldster walking around the lake. I like the saying on his shirt, but I would offer that being an old dude out walking around the lake on a perfect fall day is the dream.
Twins.
There often is something to the idea that people look like their dogs. These two had the exact same hair. I wonder if she knows that? Does she style/color her hair to be just like her dog? Do people tell her she looks like her dog?...Because that doesn’t sound like a nice thing to say to someone...so maybe no one has ever told her and shehas no idea??? That would be weird.
