Sticker shock.
I saw this cool old couple walk into an unlikely place...Spyhouse Coffee. Old people in a coffee shop is not unusual, but an old couple in Spyhouse is. They don’t serve diner coffee at this place and they sure as hell don’t charge diner prices. The old dude had a walker and I wanted to tell him to hold on tight when he saw the prices.
BINGO! crowd.
BINGO! players mean serious business, they are not messing around. If there’s BINGO! playing they are getting there early for a seat. We’ve learned the hard way...if you want a shot you better get there an hour early or you could be out of luck. Grandma ain’t sliding over to make room for you, she’s playing 10 cards at once, there ain’t no room for you.
Tension Envelopes.
Tension got its name from its unique “string & button” closure system on its envelopes that used tension to keep the envelope sealed. Very cool. I like that they believed in the idea enough to put a big neon sign on top of their building. I wish more companies believed in what they did enough to drop a giant neon sign on the roof of their building.
Palmer’s Bar.
We had a gig Friday night at Palmer’s. I love this place...it’s a crazy mix off people all coming together for one purpose: To drink.
The Boot ready to take the stage at Palmer’s Bar. Dirty 1960’s garage rock meets dirty 1906 dive bar. A match made in heaven.
Man, the stories this bar could tell and the livers it’s claimed.
Ice lanterns.
A block down from us the whole street is lined with ice lanterns. I don’t know why, and it doesn’t really matter, it looks cool and I love that people are out there doing it.
Crazy amount of bottles in this weeks wacso!
These are really cool images (drawings?). I forget how you make them. Are they paintings? Drawings?
