Bar Harmony.
Harmony is one of the coolest coffee shops in town and they just recently started changing over to a bar at night. The first time I was here I thought this would be a killer bar, so this is very cool news. Gotta love a space you enter from an alley and isn’t easy to find unless you know what you’re looking for.
Nailed it. The food, the drinks, the space, the tunes...all of it make this one of the coolest bars in town. And they have the best grilled cheese sandwich you’ll ever have...didn’t see that one coming. Oh, and UDOFOS Beer…tasty!…and $5 in a can.
Bungalow Club.
Love this place. The space is cool, the bar is great and the food is always fantastic. They do a burger night so we stopped by for a burger and a beer. Good stuff, and the place was buzzin’.
Good place for a date, whether it’s a first date like the couple at the end of the bar, or a 10,000th date like us.
The kitchen was crankin’ and everyone seemed to be having fun...that’s always a good sign at a restaurant...if the employees are having fun, the food will taste better. I like how the owner/chef brought a lot of the food out to the tables. Seemed like a nice guy.
Target run.
Gettin’ aggressive with that employee discount in the make-up aisle. That was a lot of 1970’s light blue eye shadow.
“Harold!!!…You want Peeps?!?!”
This woman was really loud asking her husband from 50 feet away if he wanted Peeps. I mean, it’s almost easter…why wouldn’t he want Peeps?
Razava.
Killer new bread-focused spot in St. Paul. They were out of most things when we were there so we didn’t get to try as much as we would have liked, but what we had was fantastic. Not a lot of places have shakshuka so we had to get that. Next time we’re getting a pizza and they have beer and wine so we’ll make a night of it.
People hanging outside.
The weather has slowly been getting better (not great) and lots more people are out walking around the lake and soaking up the sun from park benches...in no big rush like this guy.
Let’s give it up for dogs. Dogs are the best…especially in these crazy times. A dog will put a smile on my face no matter what’s going on in the world.
After all these years of walking together they’ve figured out an efficient and practical way to deal with waste management. Just tie it to the end of the leash and neither one of them has to deal with it.
It was hard to tell who was happier to be out on this leisurely walk through Loring Park.
There are a lot of interesting birds flying through to get where they’re going for the season and lots of people out watching them. I was thinking this dog wanted to get cut loose and do a little more than watching.
Love the blue eye shadow. Your sketches, Robb, are always a treat!
Man, another excellent write...except the Peeps...forget the Peeps.
